Responsibilities

• Implement instrumentation and control system engineering designs for automated system build projects.
• Document and communicate design-for-manufacturing improvements to engineering.
• Assist in the preparation of equipment specifications and instrument data sheets.
• Assist in the preparation of PLC and HMI programming and functional descriptions.
• Drilling, tapping, and assembly of electrical cabinet components.

Qualifications:

• Must have an Associates in Instrumentation, Automation, Controls Technology, or equivalent/higher degree.
• Ability to interpret and implement builds of wiring diagrams/schematics.
• Functional knowledge of common electrical cabinet components (PLCs, relays, circuit breakers, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Commitment to completing tasks with attention to detail and excellence.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems.
• A desire to learn and continually develop.
• Strong personal commitment to safety.
• Previous Co-op or Internship experience is an asset.

This position will be located in the Alvin, TX office and will be an hourly role. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., there may be occasions that require you to work different hours. Your start date is one that will be agreed upon by both parties (ISI and you).

Responsible for pursuing inbound leads generated by marketing efforts as well as qualifying and searching for potential clients through company involvement in industry related organizations.

Will also be working concurrently in a CSR role and responding to calls from clients needing to order new solutions, consumables, or needing service.

This position will generate quotes for existing and prospective clients as requested by outside sales team, sales manager, and or company management.

This is an in office position, full time (8:00-5:00 CST).

Previous experience is preferable, but not required. Experience and documented success in this field and in the industrial market space will be viewed as equivalent to education.
